Now that you lead your own kingdom, every battle victory gives you influence including those against unruly bandits and looters.īefore we continue, let’s recap how you used to gain influence as a vassal: Don’t worry because you’ll start regaining it soon enough. Since you were independent for a time, you’ve lost all that stored influence. If you decided to form our own kingdom in Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord, that also means you gained your independence from your liege at the end of “The Dragon Banner” quest. We tackle all of these “old-but-new mechanics” in this guide. You’ll still have the same panels on the Kingdom menu (K), except, of course, you’re the one ruling now. Also, there are essentially no improvements of Warband over M&B in terms of graphics, mechanics, etc that I can think of. It's story (insofar as M&B, either classic or Warband, has a story, rather than being a sandbox) is the same as M&B. It doesn't take place any "later," in universe, after the events of M&B. Note that Warband is not really so much a sequel of Mount & Blade as an expanded version of it. I'm not sure exactly what the arguments are, and certainly some people think that Warband combat is better too, but I have heard the claim that original M&B had better combat for whatever reason. Some people, though, think the the combat in the original Mount & Blade was better. Warband gets some DLCs like Napoleonic Wars and Viking Conquest, and more mods. You can now start your own kingdom in Warband in standard M&B, you can only be a vassal.
